MakerBase MKS TMC2209 v2.0 stepper motor driver is highly adaptable and can work with a wide range of MKS motherboards, including Robin E3D, Robin Nano V3 for Creality Ender 3, Ender 3 v2, and Ender 3 Pro, as well as the Makerbase Laser Engraving CNC Cutter Machine Mainboard MKS DLC32 and other MKS control boards such as MKS Monser 8, MKS Skipr, and MKS Gen_L. The drivers default current is 1.25A, with a maximum current of 2.5A, logic voltage of 3.3V/5V, and input voltage of 5.5V-28V. The micro stepping capability can go up to 1/256, providing precise control over the stepper motors movement.

The Makerbase MKS TMC2209 Ender-3 silent stepper driver is designed to have excellent heat dissipation and generate low heat. It has a large cooling area that helps to keep the temperature low even when working for extended periods of time. Compared to other stepper motor drivers, the MKS TMC2209 can lower the heat generated by up to 30%. Additionally, during a 10-hour print with passive cooling, the driver only reached a temperature of 37C. This makes it a reliable and efficient option for 3D printing applications.
